The BROKFOREST rootstock provides a reduction in tree vigor of 20–25% compared to mahaleb seedlings and promotes early entry into the fruiting period. The plant possesses good anchorage and does not produce root suckers.

The variety demonstrates resistance to lime-induced chlorosis, bacterial canker, and nematodes, and also exhibits tolerance to soil waterlogging. However, it is moderately susceptible to pathogens such as Phytophthora cactorum and Verticillium dahlae, and is not recommended for planting in heavy clay soils.
