Variety description

The variety is a large climbing vine capable of reaching a height of 4.5 to 9 meters. The plant possesses reddish-brown peeling bark and large glossy dark green leaves with serrated margins, which turn bright yellow in autumn.

The main distinctive feature of the variety is the lacecap-type corymbose inflorescences, reaching 25–30 cm in diameter. The plant self-clings to supports using aerial roots, blooms in June–July, is characterized by slow growth in the first years after planting, and has winter hardiness in USDA zones 4–8.
