Variety description

The shrub reaches a height of 100–150 cm and has a dense, branched habit with vigorous shoots. Leaves are large, leathery, deep dark green, heart-shaped or narrow-oval with serrated edges.

Inflorescences are flat, umbellate, up to 20 cm in diameter. Flowering is prolonged, occurring from July to September on previous year's shoots. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness down to -25°C and high disease resistance.

The plant is used for solitary and group plantings, border creation, and container cultivation. The variety is known by a number of synonyms, including «Blaumeise», «Teller Blue», «Blue Tit», «Armor» and «Lira».
