Variety description

The spreading shrub reaches a height and width of 1 to 1.5 meters. The shoots are strong, upright, often with a reddish hue. The leaves are large, egg-shaped, dark green or medium green in color, with a serrated edge.

The globular inflorescences reach a diameter of 15–20 cm and have a delicate aroma. The color of the flowers depends on soil acidity: on neutral and alkaline soils they are pastel pink, on acidic soils — blue. The flowering period lasts from June to September.

The variety has a hardiness zone of 6b and requires mandatory covering in regions with harsh winters. The plant is sensitive to lack of moisture and needs regular watering. It is used in single and group plantings, mixed borders, and container culture, and is suitable for cutting.
