The variety Cityline® Mars (Ramars) is a compact shrub with a height and diameter of approximately 90–100 cm. The plant has dense dark green foliage and strong stems resistant to lodging. The variety shows good resistance to powdery mildew and blooms on old wood from the beginning to the end of summer.

The inflorescences of Cityline® Mars are globose, 15–20 cm in size. The flowers have a bicolored coloration: raspberry-pink or lavender-blue depending on soil acidity, complemented by a white margin. Over time, a greenish hue may appear on the petal tips.

In a number of publications, an alternative description of the «Марс» hydrangea is found as a medium-tall shrub with a height of up to 120 cm and a diameter of up to 150 cm. This version is characterized by larger corymbose-type inflorescences up to 30 cm in diameter, having a pink color with a white center or margin.
