The shrub reaches a height of 100–150 cm and a width of 50–75 cm. The leaves are oval, dark green, measuring 5–10 cm. Inflorescences are flat: marginal sterile flowers are white or white-pink, while inner fertile flowers are red, purple, or blue. The coloration varies depending on soil pH and aluminum levels.

Flowering occurs in July–August. The plant prefers partial shade, humus-rich, moist, and well-drained soils. The variety is winter hardy; at a young age or in cold regions, it requires covering and mulching. Due to its compactness, it does not require heavy pruning and is suitable for container cultivation.
