The plant has a slender, dense, columnar habit, which distinguishes it from other «blue» holly varieties. In 10 years, the shrub reaches a height of 1.5–1.8 meters with a crown width of about 0.4 meters.

The leaves have a characteristic greenish-bluish hue, a shiny surface, and prickly serrated edges; the foliage color is one of the lightest in its group. The variety tolerates pruning well, is suitable for single and group plantings, and is characterized by good winter hardiness.
