The variety is a shrub with a moderately vigorous growth rate. The leaves have a characteristic color with a stippled transition; they appear spiny visually but are not sharp to the touch.

The plant is a male cultivar, as a result of which berries do not form on it. The variety is intended for use as an ornamental crop for open field.
