Variety description

The variety is an evergreen shrub with an upright, relatively narrow crown shape. The height of the plant varies from 1 to 3.5 meters. The foliage is dark green with a characteristic bluish tinge; in the winter period, it may acquire grayish-purple or brownish tones.

The plant is a male clone and does not produce fruit, however, it can serve as a pollinator for female Ilex meserveae varieties. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness and is adapted to the conditions of USDA zone 5. It prefers moderately moist, well-drained soils with an acidic or neutral reaction.

Due to its dense structure and bush shape, the variety is often used for forming hedges, as well as in landscape design as a vertical accent in single and group plantings.
