Upright dense shrub reaches a height of 2.8–3 m and a width of 2–2.5 m with an annual growth of 25–30 cm. Stems have a reddish-brown color. Leaves are lanceolate or ovate, glossy, dark green with a creamy-white margin, which can acquire a pinkish or reddish tint in the cold season.

The plant belongs to male forms and does not produce fruits, acting as an effective pollinator for female Ilex x meserveae varieties. Small white flowers with yellow stamens appear from May to June. The variety has good frost hardiness (USDA zones 6a–7a), tolerates pruning, and is suitable for container cultivation and group plantings.
