The variety is a sport of the variety «Blue Angel». The plant has golden-yellow foliage with green hues, which acquires a greenish-yellow tone with age. The shrub reaches a height of 80–120 cm and has a compact growth habit.

The plant is a female form of the hybrid Ilex aquifolium and Ilex rugosa. In the presence of a pollinator, bright red berries ripen on the shrub in autumn. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness down to -20°C, however, under certain climatic conditions, it may show insufficient resistance to low temperatures.
