Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the Salanova type and is close in appearance to the Lollo group. The leaves have a red color, a three-dimensional structure, high density, and are characterized by a mild sweet taste. The plant is slow to bolt and can be grown in the open field or unheated greenhouses throughout the year.

The use of Knox technology slows down leaf tip oxidation after cutting, extending shelf life. The variety is suitable for mechanical harvesting: upon cutting at the base, the head falls apart into many individual ready-to-eat leaves. It is intended for use in salad mixes and for processing.

The variety has high resistance (HR) to downy mildew (races Bl:29-41EU), Fusarium wilt (Fol:1,4 or Fol:4), and lettuce aphid (Nr:0). It shows intermediate resistance (IR) to lettuce mosaic virus (LMV:1).
