The Omega variety is an oilseed type of flax with light-colored seeds, which makes it in demand for food products, such as bakery items. The plant is characterized by a mid-season maturity period, comparable to standard varieties.
In terms of morphological traits, plant height and lodging resistance are at the level of other standard varieties. Regarding diseases, the variety shows resistance to flax rust but is moderately susceptible to Fusarium wilt.
