The variety is a vigorous bunchgrass characterized by rapid rooting and the formation of a dense, dark blue-green cover. It possesses increased resistance to frequent mowing.
The plant has genetic resistance to gray leaf spot and high tolerance to soil salinity. The presence of endophytes in the plant structure provides natural protection against a number of surface pests.
The variety, also known by the breeding number SRX 4801, is used for creating high-quality sports turfs, golf courses, and park areas. Due to its ability to develop rapidly, it is often used in mixtures for overseeding and repairing grass covers.
