The plant is a tree or large shrub 4 to 6 meters tall. It has an upright crown and the ability to bloom at an early age, already 2 years after planting.
The goblet or cup-shaped flowers reach 30–35 cm in diameter. The flowering period lasts about 3 weeks, with individual flowers persisting for up to 9 days. The petal color varies from pink to deep purple-red.
The variety prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations protected from winds. The flowers show resistance to wind loads. Under adverse conditions, the plant can be affected by aphids, scale insects, or fungal diseases.
