The variety is a mutant of the Abbondanza variety. The tree is characterized by an open crown type, low vigor, early onset of fruiting, and regular high yields. The variety is self-fertile and characterized by resistance to adverse conditions and cold.

The fruits are medium to medium-large in size, flattened in shape with smooth, waxy, red skin and light-colored lenticels. The flesh is firm, crisp, sweet-tart, ranging from creamy-white with reddish shades to red. The fruits ripen in late September to early October and maintain keeping quality until April.
