The fruit is small, spherical-flattened in shape with uneven edges. The skin is greenish-yellow with reddish-brown or apricot spots and a copper hue on the sunny side. The flesh is firm, not very juicy, very sweet, and has a distinct anise-musky flavor.

The tree has moderate vigor and is prone to forming a candelabra-like crown with stiff lower branches. The variety is self-sterile, late-flowering, begins bearing fruit relatively quickly, but is prone to alternate bearing.

The variety is demanding regarding soil conditions, preferring deep clay or alluvial soils with a calcareous subsoil. It is characterized by moderate susceptibility to scab and sensitivity to powdery mildew, bacterial canker, and pests. The fruit is prone to shriveling if harvested early.
