The tree has medium or vigorous growth energy, reaching 4 meters in height, and forms a wide spreading crown. The fruits weighing 130–140 g have a round-conical shape, yellow-green or golden color with an orange-red blush and carmine streaks. The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy and fine-grained.

The variety is self-sterile and requires cross-pollination. The crop ripens in September–October. The fruits are poorly suited for long-term storage, as they quickly lose firmness. There are various mutations and clones of the variety, such as Queen Cox, King Cox, Cherry Cox and Crimson Cox.

The plant is finicky in cultivation and susceptible to scab, powdery mildew, European canker and anthracnose. The variety is used primarily fresh, as well as for processing into juice, cider production and culinary purposes.
