The variety is a variant of the classic English Cox’s Orange Pippin variety. In official catalogs, it is classified as a well-known variety that was in circulation until September 2012.

The fruits are characterized by medium size, yellowish-white juicy flesh, and the presence of an orange-red blush on a yellow background. The taste of the fruits is assessed as wine-like with spicy notes.

The variety is demanding regarding growing conditions and soil. Like the original type, it is susceptible to scab, powdery mildew, and bacterial canker, and therefore requires protection and careful maintenance.
