The variety is a cultivar or clone of the 'Cox Orange Pippin' apple tree. The fruits have green-yellow skin with carmine stripes appearing on the sun-exposed side. The fruit flesh is yellow, crisp, and juicy, with a pronounced aroma.

To obtain a yield, the variety requires the presence of pollinators, which include Alkmene, Ballerina, Goldparmäne, Ingrid Marie, and James Grieve. In official variety lists, it is classified as a separate variant within the Cox Orange group and is used as a dessert apple.
