The fruits of this variety are medium-sized and spherical in shape. The thin, rough skin varies from olive-green to yellow-green in color with a striped overcolor of brownish-red, orange, or carmine hue. Fine-scaled russeting is common.

The apple flesh is yellowish, firm, fine-grained, and crisp. The variety belongs to the winter maturity group and is primarily a dessert apple. The plant is demanding regarding growing conditions, prefers a maritime climate, well-aerated soils with high water-holding capacity, and is sensitive to drought.
