Fruits are medium-sized, conical in shape, with a bright red blush on the skin. The flesh is white, dense, crunchy, and has a slightly acidic taste. Harvesting takes place in October.

The variety possesses genetic resistance to scab (Venturia inaequalis). Due to its high content of biologically active substances, particularly phloridzin, the fruits are of interest for nutraceutical research. The variety is intended for fresh consumption.

In regional publications, the variety was historically identified with local traditional apple trees of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region; however, subsequent identification showed it matches the Coop 38 (Prima) variety, developed in the USA in the 1970s.
