The tree is distinguished by a pronounced upward growth of the crown. When using vigorous rootstock, it enters into fruiting late; however, on dwarf rootstocks, fruiting begins in the third year. The variety possesses high tolerance to apple scab and is adapted for cultivation without chemical plant protection products.
The fruits are of small or medium size, weighing 85–95 g, and have a rounded shape. The main economic characteristic is high keeping quality, which allows the harvest collected in early October to be stored until April without the use of refrigeration equipment. Traditionally used for fresh consumption during the winter period.
