The variety is a rare traditional cultivar, originating presumably as a seedling of the Neuhäuser variety. Fruits reach harvest maturity in early or mid-October; the consumption period lasts until January–February.
The fruits have greenish-white, medium- or coarse-grained flesh of medium density with moderate juiciness. The taste is sweet, with low acid content and a faint aroma. The skin is smooth, waxy, and relatively thick.
The trees are characterized as hardy, capable of producing abundant and regular yields. Historically, the variety was most often grown in the form of standard high-stem trees.
