The variety is a triploid hybrid originating from Schleswig-Holstein. The tree is vigorous, capable of reaching 10 meters in height, possesses a pyramidal crown shape and high regenerative capacity. The variety is hardy, however, on heavy soils it shows susceptibility to canker.

The fruits are large, cylindrical or elongated-cylindrical in shape, ripening in mid-September. The skin is yellow-green with red streaks, the flesh is yellowish-white, sweet-and-sour, and fine-grained. The shelf life is short, not exceeding 4 weeks, as the fruits are prone to rapid softening and dropping upon ripening.
