The variety is a clone of the classic McIntosh apple tree. The characteristics of the trees and fruits are identical to the parent variety, with the exception of the fruit appearance: they have a dark-colored solid red skin, whereas in the base variety the coloration is often striped.

The trees are described as medium-sized, the fruits have a white, soft, juicy flesh with a fine texture and a sweet taste. The variety belongs to the autumn or winter group; the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and culinary use.

The agrotechnical characteristics and resistance of the variety correspond to the base McIntosh: a low resistance to scab and an average level of winter hardiness are noted.
