The variety is a hybrid of the "Ontario" and "Jakob Lebel" varieties. In terms of ripening time, it is classified as mid-season or winter.

The fruits are described as large or very large, having a height of 64–68 mm. The variety was bred in the Leipzig area and is currently extremely rare.

As part of research by the German Gene Bank, identification of the variety was carried out, which showed that some samples under this name may not correspond to the variety or may belong to other types, for example, "Riesenboiken". The variety is mentioned in an analysis of polyphenol content in the context of apple allergies.
