The variety is the result of crossing Blenheim Orange and Golden Noble. It is a hardy tree with a compact, upright crown, which enters into fruiting relatively slowly.

The fruits are of medium to large size, with a round or truncate-conical shape. They have a smooth, waxy skin of greenish-yellow color, sometimes with a pinkish-brown blush. The dense, juicy, fine-grained flesh has a tart taste and breaks down into a delicate creamy puree when cooked.

The variety is distinguished by very late flowering, which allows avoiding damage to blossoms from spring frosts. The harvest is gathered in mid to late October; the fruits are notable for good keeping quality and can be stored until spring. Some resistance to scab is also noted.
