The variety is the result of crossing the Ontario and Jakob Lebel varieties. The tree is vigorous, reaching 6–8 meters in height and 4–6 meters in width under optimal conditions.

It belongs to the winter varieties: fruits are harvested from October, the consumption period lasts from December to April. The fruits are large or very large, have skin with an oily coating, and are prone to spotting and glassy texture. The flesh is of medium firmness, the taste is sweet and sour.

The variety has low susceptibility to scab and powdery mildew, but is prone to alternate bearing. For commercial purposes, the fruits are used for baking and juice production.
