The tree is of medium size, reaching 3–4 meters in height. The crown has upward-directed branches in youth; with age, it becomes high-rounded and may droop under the weight of the fruit. The variety shows high yield, but without load regulation, it is prone to biennial bearing, therefore requiring regular pruning.

Fruits are small or medium-sized, often conical in shape, with smooth, dark-red skin when ripe. The flesh has a bittersweet spicy taste. Due to the firm skin, the variety is rarely consumed fresh, but is well-suited for long-term storage until January–February and is an excellent pollinator for other varieties.
