The variety was bred through multiple crossings of Jonathan, Rome Beauty, Starking, and Golden Delicious varieties using the wild species Malus floribunda 821. The tree is medium-sized, forming a rounded crown of medium density.

The fruits are medium-large, weighing up to 180 g, and have a bright red color. The firm, creamy flesh is characterized by juiciness and a sweet taste with a slight acidity. The harvest has good keeping quality, lasting until March–May, and is suitable for fresh consumption or culinary processing.

The variety is known for high resistance to the main races of scab and relative resistance to a number of other diseases.
