The tree has medium vigor and forms a spreading crown with horizontally extending branches. The variety is considered very winter-hardy and undemanding to growing conditions; the first mentions of it date back to the 18th century.

The fruits are for table use. The harvest is collected at the end of September, and consumer ripeness occurs in the period from October to January. The fruits have a medium size, shiny skin, and flesh streaked with red and green veins.
