The variety was bred in France through multiple crossings involving the Jonathan, Rome Beauty, Starking, Golden Delicious varieties and the Malus floribunda 821 seedling. The tree is medium-sized, forming a broad, often dense crown.

A winter variety, fruit harvest maturity occurs in late September to early October. The fruits are of medium size, weighing 110–160 g, and have a light yellow color with an intense striped-blurry blush. The fruit flesh is juicy, of medium density, and the taste is bland-sweet.
