Fruits of the FYRIKI variety are small in size and yellowish-green in color with reddish spots. The apple flesh has a pronounced aroma, high content of phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity, causing it to darken rapidly when cut. The flavor quality of the fruits can improve during storage.

The tree is traditionally used in Greek orchards as a pollinator. With seed propagation, fruiting begins in the 3–5th year, while saplings may take up to 10 years. The variety is a traditional local cultural heritage and has the status of a product with a protected designation of origin.
