The tree is characterized by strong, vigorous growth and a wide-spreading crown with branches that often grow vertically. The variety is a triploid and requires pollinator trees; it belongs to pollination group D/4. It adapts well to growing in chalky soils.

The fruits are large to very large, flat-round in shape, often with prominent ribs at the calyx. The ground color of the skin is pale green or yellowish-white, almost entirely covered by a bright dark red or crimson blush. The white, juicy, fine-grained flesh may acquire a pink hue during storage.

The variety is an autumn one; the harvest is collected in late September, and the fruits keep until December. The taste is refreshing, sweet-and-sour, and becomes milder after a period of storage. The apples are suitable for fresh consumption and culinary use, and are noted for their ability to produce pink-colored juice.
