The tree is noted for its vigorous growth when young, forming a wide, spreading, and often drooping crown. The branches emerge at an obtuse angle, and the shoots are prone to curvature. On vigorous rootstocks, the tree can reach a height of 6 meters.

The fruits are large or very large, round or flat-round in shape, and ribbed. The primary skin color is light green or yellow-green, with the majority of the fruit covered by an intense red blush. The flesh is white, sometimes with a pinkish tint under the skin, and possesses an aromatic, spicy, sweet taste with a hint of acidity.

The variety is a triploid and self-sterile, requiring the presence of pollinators. The fruits are not prone to dropping. The variety is demanding in terms of growing conditions: it requires high-quality soil and sheltered locations, and is sensitive to drought and waterlogging. It is characterized by high susceptibility to scab and Monilinia.
