The variety presumably originated in the mid-19th century at the Fogelvik estate in Sweden, likely from seeds of the White Astrachan variety. The tree has moderate growth vigor and forms a pyramidal crown that becomes spreading with age. Fruiting begins 2–3 years after planting.

Belongs to summer varieties; the crop ripens by mid-September. The fruits are medium-sized and round-conical in shape, characterized as juicy and aromatic, of dessert type. The variety possesses winter hardiness sufficient for certain cultivation zones.
