The Konrad III variety, also referred to by the breeding number TGW10, was developed by the State Institute for Viticulture, Enology and Pomology (LVWO) in Germany. The goal of the breeding work was to create resistant varieties suitable for organic orcharding and cultivation in standard tree orchards.

This variety is included in research projects for the selection of plants with increased resistance to apple scab. Detailed agronomic characteristics, such as yield indices, maturity timing, and physical tree parameters, are not described in publicly available publications.
