The variety was bred at the Research Institute in Újfehértó. It was obtained as a result of selection among seedlings from open pollination of the variety «Summerred».

The apple tree belongs to summer ripening varieties; fruits ripen in mid-August. The variety is intended for fresh consumption, and the fruits are suitable for single-pass harvesting.
