Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was obtained by crossing Wijcik Spur McIntosh and Baskatong. The tree has a columnar form with a compact crown 50–60 cm wide and 1.5 to 3.5 meters tall. The variety is suitable for container cultivation and is often used in landscape design or as a pollinator variety.

Fruits are medium-sized, spherical-oblate in shape, and purple-red in color. The flesh of the fruits is bright red, retains its color during heat treatment, and has a sweet and sour taste with a distinct acidity. Fruit ripening occurs in early to mid-September.

The plant possesses winter hardiness. Resistance to scab and powdery mildew is noted. Fruits are used fresh, as well as for processing into jams, jellies, sauces, and for addition to cider.
