The variety is a mutation of the original McIntosh and is classified as a semi-spur type form. The tree is distinguished by restricted growth and a fruiting habit where ovaries are predominantly formed on spurs.

The fruits are of medium size, round or flat-round in shape, and have a characteristic red blush. The flesh is white, juicy, tender, with a pronounced aroma and a sweet-and-sour taste.

The variety possesses the sensitivity to fungal diseases, in particular scab, typical of the McIntosh group. Due to the spur-type structure, the tree is prone to high crop loads, which requires special attention to crown formation.
