Trees are medium-sized, with moderate vigor and a wide-spreading, sparse crown. Scaffold branches spread in a kettle-like shape. The variety was discovered as a chance seedling, presumably originating from the Fameuse variety.

Fruits weighing 150–200 g have a round or slightly conical shape. The primary green skin color is almost completely covered by a bright red or dark red blush. Flesh is white, juicy, and tender.

The variety possesses good or satisfactory winter hardiness but is moderately resistant to diseases, showing susceptibility to scab and fire blight. Fruits have a universal purpose, yet require adherence to storage conditions, as they are prone to loss of quality and becoming mealy.
