The variety is a clone of the classic McIntosh variety. The trees are medium-sized, have a spreading crown and a mixed type of fruiting. Depending on the cultivation region, the variety is classified as autumn or winter.

A distinctive feature of the clone is the pronounced overcolor of the fruits, varying from dark red to crimson-black. The fruit flesh is juicy, tender, sweet with a slight acidity and a strong aroma. The variety is susceptible to scab and powdery mildew.

The fruits have a universal purpose, suitable for both fresh consumption and culinary processing.
