The Mašancgar Mošancelj variety, also known as Štajerski mošancelj, is an autochthonous heirloom variety. Fruits ripen by mid-October, are small in size and elongated in shape with golden-yellow skin.

The plant is intended for cultivation in traditional high-stem orchards. When using seed rootstock, the tree begins to bear fruit abundantly approximately 10 years after planting.

The variety has historically been used for the production of traditional apple cider, often in blends with other local varieties.
