The variety is a sport of Malus domestica and is an improved strain of the classic McIntosh variety. The fruits are for universal use and are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for processing into juice, sauce, and cider.
The fruits ripen 3–10 days earlier than the original variety and possess white, juicy, crisp flesh with a characteristic aroma. The tree has morphological characteristics typical of McIntosh and is susceptible to scab.
