The variety is of Danish origin and dates back to approximately 1800, with Jutland considered its place of origin. During genotyping of the Danish apple collection, it was determined that the variety is diploid (2N) and possesses S-locus alleles S7 and S31.

Scientific publications lack detailed morphological characteristics of the tree and fruit, as well as information on yield, maturity dates, and disease resistance. The variety is primarily mentioned in registers as an object for genetic conservation and biodiversity studies.
