The variety is a sport mutation of the Fuji apple. Fruit maturation occurs in October–November. The height of the tree varies depending on the rootstock type, allowing for the cultivation of both dwarf and standard forms.
The fruits are large, rounded, with a creamy-yellow color and a striped red blush. The flesh is firm, juicy, and crisp, with a high sugar content (15–18% Brix). The fruits are notable for their ability to be stored for up to 6–8 months in controlled atmosphere conditions.
The variety is an important commercial crop, with fruits used fresh, in cooking, and for juice production. In scientific practice, it is often used as a model object for genetic research and tissue culture.
