The tree is of moderate vigor, forms a spreading crown, and can reach 5–6 meters in height. The variety is considered productive and forms spurs abundantly. It is characterized by good resistance to scab and powdery mildew, while showing susceptibility to apple tree canker.

The fruits are large or very large, round-flat in shape, and often slightly asymmetrical. The skin is yellow-green with an orange blush and red stripes. The flesh is yellowish-white, moderately juicy, sweet with a slight tartness. Harvesting occurs in mid-September; the shelf life of the fruits is limited to a few months.

The variety is for multipurpose use. The flesh breaks down easily into a delicate purée during thermal processing, which makes the apples suitable for baking.
