The variety is a bud mutation (sport) of the classic McIntosh variety. The fruits are medium-sized, have an irregular shape, and are covered with bright red or dark red color over most of the surface. The fruit flesh is white, juicy, with a fine texture and a characteristic vinous aroma.

The tree has moderately strong growth and good winter hardiness. The variety belongs to the autumn or autumn-winter group; the harvest is gathered in mid-September. The variety is partially self-fertile; cross-pollination is recommended to increase yield. It is susceptible to fungal diseases, in particular to scab, and requires protective measures.
