The apple variety Rolund was discovered in Denmark in the Rolund area on the island of Funen near the town of Middelfart. Fruits of this variety are characterized as large, have a yellow ground skin color and may show a slight orange blush.

The flesh of the fruit is firm and dry, the taste is sweet. The variety is used as a table apple for fresh consumption, as well as a culinary apple for cooking. The variety is mentioned in genetic studies of Danish apple cultivars.
